On November 3 we organized in La Bendita Locura el verdeo. We wanted to teach the little ones where the oil is obtained, that ingredient so present in our kitchens. The day began with a wonderful sun that allowed us to enjoy a spectacular outdoor day. We all go together to the farm of Paco Moyano in Trebujena. There, in his olive grove, large and small we collected by hand (so as not to damage the olive tree with the rods) the olives necessary to obtain first press oil (liquid gold some call it) for all participants.
After the effort of walking through muddy fields, and with the olives already loaded in the car we return to La Bendita Locura. After Paco's explanation about the types of olives and the milling task, we pressed our harvest so that everyone present could see the complete process of obtaining the oil.
We complete the day with a cabbage (with pringá and everything) for 30 and an afternoon of laughter in good company.
